Mike's week.......

So poor Mike has had the hardest week. He swears all the forces of the earth are going at him full force. It all began Saturday when he was driving to work. A rock flew up from a small mini van in front of him and hit the windshield on the way to work and made a chip...but luckily the chip had not spread yet, however, when he was done with work he walked out and saw that it surely had....
Then on Monday, Mike was once again at work when he recieved a call. He and his partner left right away to help assist this person to the U of U hospital where she could recieve the kind of care that she needed. On the way to the hospital he recieved a call from dispatch saying that a lady saw a black back pack fly out of the back of an ambulance...surely enough it was Mikes. He couldn't do anything about it until he was done with the call he was on. As soon as they were done they went back to the 3300 South on ramp, where the lady said she saw it fly out, to look for his back pack. They looked everywhere but found nothing. He was just devistated that this happened. In this back pack (which is a really nice swiss army laptop back pack) he had his camera, his chemistry book for school, his electronic japanese translator, a couple of games for his lap top that he had just got for Christmas, some new Koss brand ear phones that he had just got for Christmas, his glasses, an power inverter for his lap top, the cord to his IPod, and some other stuff. Luckily his new lap top wasn't inside (actually too bad it wasn't because it has a chip inside that will give its exact location if stolen.) or his IPod. But all in all this was a great loss. Mike never did end up finding it and he came home from work just sick of what had happened. I told him that everything is alright and that he doesn't need to worry. (I think the hardest thing was loosing his camera, and his electronic japanese translator because he had those on his mission.) He put and lost and found add on KSL with a reward in case anyone had found it but we haven't had anyone call. I feel so bad for Mike.
Then yesterday he and his partner got into trouble for not getting to his call on time because they went the wrong way.
Then today his phone just died. He has had such problems with it since he got it. He has already had to have it replaced and today it just died and then when he tried to charge it he broke the part where you put the charger cord so he can't even do that.....
He told me today that this past week has been so horrible and "it's only Wednesday." I totally feel for him.
He was supposed to change the timing belt and water pump in our new car this week (mainly because we don't know when the last one was changed and we want to get everything ready for our trip to California!!!) but since this week has been so bad and he has a ton of homework we just took it into a shop and had it done. Alot of money later our car is ready to go!
I found the best shop though. It's in Layton called Extreme Auto. The guys are really honest and the price was amazing!!! I have never had better service in my life!! I would recommend this place to anyone that needs repairs done.
Anyway i am hoping Mike's week goes by better...and if any of you, by chance, have heard about someone finding a random back pack filled with lots of expensive stuff please let us know!
